The dream of Mrs. Esther Alatise-Ayere who has a deep love and the passion to see children grow in all ramifications culminated in the establishment of UNIQUE CHILDREN’S SCHOOL in 1989.

The school which was designed as a ground for building academic excellence commenced operation on 21st September 1989. At inception, there were only two pupils who were aged two and three years respectively; and two academic staff. The second and third terms of the session witnessed a remarkable improvement in pupils’ enrolment as the number moved to seventy eight (78) with staff strength increasing to ten (10).

From this humble start, the school continues to grow in leaps and bounds. Academic laurels have been won by pupils of every set that graduated from the school. With a faculty that is highly qualified professionally and academically, the school continues to deliver first class standard education. Unique became a household name, known for the highest standards in academic achievement and moral uprightness.

In 1996, the Board of Directors decided to continue with the delivery of high quality education by establishing a secondary school - UNIQUE HEIGHTS (Junior and Senior High School) which started on a temporary site at Titilayo Adedoyin Street, Omole Estate, Phase 1, Ikeja. The School later moved to her permanent site at 5A, Julius Gbigbi Street, Magodo – Isheri, Lagos. Both schools are now christened UNIQUE GROUP OF SCHOOLS.

The Schools are located in serene environments, built with burnt red bricks which make the walls soundproof. The facilities are of world class standard and Information and Communication Technology is deployed for effective teaching and learning. At UNIQUE, grooming is what is done and pupils and students enjoy rock – solid foundation; upon which a highly successful and first class University education is built. Products of the schools stand out wherever they find themselves.
